Spraoi agus Spórt Fashion Show

Please support our Fashion Show this Friday 9th March in the Strand Hotel, Ballyliffen.

Doors open at 7.30pm, show at 8pm.

See the new Spring/Summer collection from Deirdre’s at the Diamond, Global Fashions, Bernie Murphy Textile Designer, Mark2 Menswear, Fadó, The Heel Bar and Inishowen Co-Op.

Tickets are available from the office, Deirdre’s at the Diamond, Global Fashions and Fadó priced at 10 euro for adults and 5 euro for children.

Parents Plus Children’s Programme in Carndonagh

Sign up quickly for the Parents Plus Children’s Programme in Carndonagh!

This programme, for parents of children aged 6 – 11, will begin in the Inishowen Development Office in Carndonagh on Thursday 9th November 10.00 – 12.30 and run for six weeks.

Themes covered include:-

Play and special time with children
Building children’s self-esteem and confidence
Encouraging children’s learning/ supporting homework
Setting rules and helping children keep them
Establishing daily routines
Managing misbehaviour using consequences and sanctions
Problem solving/talking problems through with children

The course is free to attend. You can buy the Parent’s Manual for €10 if you wish. Please pass the word and encourage others to book a place on this excellent parenting programme facilitated by John Jackson from IDP and Mary McKinney from Moville and District Family Resource Centre.

Inishowen Gospel Choir – come along and give it a go!

An open rehearsal is being held for the Inishowen Gospel Choir to mark National Choral Singing Week. It is on Monday 9th October in Caffé Banba Carndonagh from 7:30 – 9:30. This event is being organised in conjunction with the Association of Irish Choirs and Mental Health Ireland. Pop in and get a taste of what it is like singing with the choir.

Anam Cara support for bereaved parents in Inishowen

Anam Cara is an organisation that supports bereaved parents across the country. They will hold a Bereavement Information Evening on Wednesday 18th of October in the Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, from 7pm-9pm. A guest speaker experienced in supporting bereaved parents will talk for about forty minutes. Then there’ll be an opportunity to speak, or simply to listen to other bereaved parents. You can also talk to the professional should you have any questions or concerns. The event is free of charge and is open to all bereaved parents, no matter the age of your child or the circumstances of his or her death. International Parents’ Day at Spraoi agus Spórt Carndonagh

International Parents’ Day Family Fun on Thursday June 1st 5K Fun Run/Walk Friday June 2nd

Spraoi agus Spórt Carndonagh are having a Family Fun morning on Thursday 1st June from 10am at the Spraoi agus Spórt unit in Carndonagh. Refreshments, face painting, messy play. Minnie and Mickey Mouse will be joining the fun. Open to all families. Come along and celebrate International Parents’ Day!
